The international week is underway and Wales have this afternoon beaten China 6-0 and although Gareth Bale might grab the headlines with a hat trick, there was a massive contribution from Sam Vokes who scored twice himself as well as adding two assists.

Vokes scored the third goal after Gareth Bale had netted twice and it was 4-0 at half time with a first international goal for Liverpool’s Harry Wilson who is currently playing his football in the Championship on loan at Hull.

In the second half, Vokes added his second before Bale completed his hat trick and the scoring just past the hour.

Sam has now played 57 times for Wales, a total that has taken him past the 54 won by Leighton James and just nine short of Brian Flynn’s final total of 66. Today’s goals have also taken him into double figures for Wales.
