A Tale Of Two Halves
Burnley Football Club enjoyed a fifth season in the Premier League in 2018/19 and that has seen Peter Haworth write volume 5 of his Premier League Diaries – this one entitled A Tale Of Two Halves.
Peter, a Burnley fan of over 40 years, wrote his first book back in 2010 following our first season in the league and he’s continued through the more recent years although this will be the last in the series despite us still playing in the top flight.
The latest book charts a season which began in Scotland and took us to Turkey and Greece before we’d recorded our first Premier League victory and the book looks at how we struggled to cope in the first half of the season before turning things round after Christmas to reach a fourth successive season in the Premier League.
You can follow it all in the book while the football is interspersed with anecdotes of Peter’s life away from football, from his walking group tales, to car crashes, colonoscopies, stag do’s and his daughter’s wedding.
