curzon ashton 3 1000x500Four home games played, two on the Turf and two at Gawthorpe, but today the under-23s return to Curzon Ashton for a difficult game against Bolton Wanderers.

We both go into the game having failed to win at home last week in the league. We lost against Millwall, although we did beat Barrow in the Lancashire Senior Cup, while Bolton were held to a 0-0 draw by Ipswich.

Bolton take this competition very seriously. They won it last year when striker Connor Hall was the league’s leading goalscorer. He netted for them earlier this season in the competition but has since moved to Accrington on loan.

They’ve won three and drawn one of their five games so far with Burnley having won two and lost three.

Jon Pepper will again be in charge of the Burnley team with us looking for a replacement for Michael Duff.

Kick off is at 2 p.m. Season ticket holders can expect free entry.
