Burnley’s development squad have won their latest game, coming from behind to beat Chester 2-1 at the Deva Stadium this evening.

It was the home side who went in front through James Akintunde with just under ten minutes of the first half remaining and they still led at the break, but it was the Clarets who came back in the second half to win it.

Frazer Murdoch, the former Crewe striker on trial, met a Khius Metz cross from the right to equalise and on 77 minutes Dan Agyei, on as a substitute, won it for Burnley with a shot past home keeper Jon Worsnop.

The win might have been by a bigger margin but Worsnop denied Nashé Chakwana, before the youth team striker again came close with an effort that was just wide of the post.

Our dev squad are next in action this Friday afternoon but, as yet, no venue has been confirmed for the fixture.

The teams were;

Chester: Jon Worsnop, Kieran Evans, Theo Vassell (Tom Shaw ht), Ryan Astles (Ryan Edwards ht), Johnny Hunt (Matty Waters ht), Luke George (Tom Crawford ht), Sam Hughes, Wade Joyce, Elliott Durrell, James Alabi (Craig Mahon ht), James Akintunde.
