1516 burnley tony aghayere 00 630x420Youth team goalkeeper Tony Aghayere has today joined Colne on a one month loan to help out the local non-league side who are experiencing a problem in that position. He will go straight into the team for their away game tomorrow against Runcorn Town.

Madrid born Aghayere is in his second season at Turf Moor and he will join a side with a claret and blue favour with no fewer than four former Burnley youth team players in their side. They are Ed Williams, Chris Anderson and Ben Hoskin, the latter two being in the team of 2008/09 that did so well, and Alex Coleman who captained us in the 2012 FA Youth Cup semi-final against Blackburn; Coleman is now back at the BFC Academy as a coach.

Colne are currently third in the North West Counties League Premier Division while Runcorn, not to be confused with Runcorn Linnets who lead the table, are in seventh place.
