Burnley recorded a third successive victory in the Professional Development League tonight with a 3-0 win against Hull City at the KCOM Stadium.

1819 burnley dan agyei 00 500x500Steve Stone’s team showed three changes to the team that had started against Bolton last Monday. Scott Wilson came into the back four at the expense of Teddy Perkins, a move that saw Anthony Glennon move back into the centre of defence.

The other changes were further forward with Tinashe Chakwana replacing Marley Blair on the left hand side of the midfield and Dan Agyei coming back in to partner Michael Fowler up front with Rob Harker dropping to the bench.

The first goal of the game came on 71 minutes when Agyei (pictured) burst through the Hull defence to slot home a shot past the home keeper and the win takes us to within a point of leaders Leeds who play on Monday.

Agyei doubled the lead with five minutes remaining, latching on to a flick on from Harker who had come on as a substitute early in the second half, and it was Harker himself who scored the third in stoppage time with a good strike to complete the scoring.

The teams were;

Hull: Harvey Cartwright, Josh Hesson, Brandon Fleming, Dan Batty, Danny Lupano, Lewis Ritson, Callum Smith (Ahmed Salam 72), Max Sheaf, Keane Lewis-Potter, Billy Chadwick (Elliot Holmes 66), Julien Lamy (Tom Powell 80). Subs not used: David Robson, Jacob Greaves.

Burnley: Aidan Stone, Jordan Cropper, Bobby Thomas, Anthony Glennon, Scott Wilson, Tunde Bayode, Josh Benson, Christian N’Guessan, Tinashe Chakwana, Michael Fowler (Rob Harker 52), Dan Agyei. Subs not used: Kai Calderbank-Park, James Clarke, Ed Cook, Teddy Perkins.
