harry limb signsBurnley’s under 23 side have continued with their scoring run, following up Monday’s 5-3 win against Sunderland with a 5-0 win against Derby in a behind closed doors friendly.

Jamie Thomas opened the scoring right on half time and the same player doubled our advantage just a couple of minutes into the second half. A trialist added the third before Harry Limb completed the scoring with a second half brace.

Thomas got on the end of a Tristan Jumeau through ball for the first and second came when he dinked the ball over the goalkeeper.

The trialist netted when he completed a move that had developed down our right and after that the goalscoring was all down to Limb (pictured) who completed his move to Burnley yesterday. His first, and Burnley’s fourth, was a shot from outside the box into the bottom corner and his second was a close range effort after receiving the ball from Jumeau.

Limb played the entire 90 minutes as did our other new recruit Harry Flowers. He partnered Taofiq Olomowewe at the back for the first 70 minutes with Jimmy Dunne then dropping back into defence following the last substitution.

The Burnley team was: Tony Aghayere, Arlen Birch, Harry Flowers, Taofiq Olomowewe (Miles Fenton 70), Ali Koiki, Tristan Jumeau, Trialist, Jimmy Dunne, Robbie Leitch (Freddy Yao 65), Jamie Thomas, Harry Limb. Sub not used: Marcel Wusiewicz.
