Blades at Gawthorpe for youth game
Having played the last two games away from home, which have brought wins against Bolton and Crewe, the under-18s are back at Gawthorpe tomorrow morning for the visit of Sheffield United.
We’ve made a good start to 2019 with those two wins following a very good 2-2 draw against Sheffield Wednesday and tomorrow Tony Philliksirk will be looking to extend that unbeaten run since he took over to four games.
Sheffield United are currently fifth in the table; that’s one place behind us but they are eight points behind although have three games in hand. Their recent form hasn’t been as good as ours with their last win coming on 1st December when they beat Birmingham.
We were beaten in the away game against them earlier in the season but won this particular fixture last season 1-0 with a goal from Dylon Meredith (pictured) who has been back in the goals recently since his return from a loan at Morecambe.
Kick off tomorrow morning at Gawthorpe is 11 a.m.
