Since losing on the opening day of the season against Watford, we have won five and drawn two league games and added to that this week with a win in the Lancashire Youth Cup to take us into the semi-finals.

Our opponents Bolton have themselves only lost twice but they currently sit in sixth place in the table with 13 points, four less than us, from a game more. They are currently on a good run though with no defeats in the last five since going down to defeat against QPR on 5th September, and they’ve certainly been scoring some goals.

They have won two games 3-1 in this run and drawn the other three. Two of those draws have ended 3-3, including last time out against Crewe, whilst in the previous game they drew 4-4 against Birmingham. Only Nottingham Forest have scored more goals than Bolton this season in the north group yet only Sheffield Wednesday have conceded more.

Kick off at Gawthorpe tomorrow morning is 11 a.m.
