1112 burnley jason blake 300x300Burnley’s academy is set for changes early in the new season with a new management structure, although as yet nothing has been confirmed.

During 2015, the club advertised for an academy director to assume control of the department. It was speculated that Nick Cox from Sheffield United was offered the role but he’s since moved to Manchester United.

Although the position at Burnley is yet to be filled there have been and will be some changes. In terms of the youth team, the coaching responsibility is now with Michael Duff and John Townson whilst on the administration side, Up the Clarets understands that academy manager Jason Blake’s departure is imminent while academy operations manager Graham Lancashire left the club some months ago.
