Clarets linked with Nigerian winger and Bristolian full back
The transfer window is open, the speculation is well underway , and this morning, the press are linking us with moves for a Nigerian wide player who is currently playing his football in Belgium, and there is a repeated link with Bristol City left-back Joe Bryan.
The link with the Nigerian is the most intriguing. He’s Moses Daddy-Ajala Simon (commonly known just as Moses Simon) who, for the last two and a half seasons, has been playing his football in Belgium with KAA Gent. Prior to that, and after leaving his home country, he enjoyed time in the academy at Ajax before spending a season in Slovakia with AS Trenčin.
The link comes from voetbalniuews in Belgium. They are reporting that he was once a target for the North East duo of Newcastle and Sunderland but that he has now aroused interest from Burnley.
In his time at Gent, he has scored 21 goals in 135 games as well as having 18 assists and is valued at around €5 million.
Meanwhile, the speculation regarding Bryan won’t go away and one Sunday newspaper is claiming we are close to a deal. The 24-year-old has spent his entire career to date at Bristol City other than when he went out on loan to first Bath City and then Plymouth.
