Clarets looking at yet another striker

Burnley completed the signing of Leeds United striker Chris Wood this afternoon for a record fee believed to be around £15 million and there is strong speculation that we’ve now made an offer for Ghana international Abdul Majeed Waris who currently plays his football in France for Lorient.

The information seems to have come from journalist John Richardson who was the one to break the Andre Gray to Watford story recently. He claims a bid of £7 million is in for the player who has previously played for BK Häcken, Spartak Moscow, Valenciennes and Trabzonspor before moving to Lorient in 2015.

The 25-year-old is able to play as a striker or a winger.
