Clarets welcome bottom club Wrexham
It’s four weeks since Burnley last played in the Youth Alliance League, beating Blackpool 3-0. Since we’ve gone out of the Youth Alliance Cup and had a game postponed followed by a free date.
But tomorrow we return to action with a visit from bottom of the league Wrexham who have had something of a fall from grace over the last few years since winning the league back in the 2012/13 season.
They’ve won just once this season, beating Port Vale on 5th November, and are currently one point behind Morecambe having played two games more.
They did the double over us last season and they were both comprehensive wins. We lost the away game 6-1 on this weekend a year ago with Dwight McNeil (pictured) scoring our goal, his first for the youth team. The return game ended in a 3-0 defeat in what was our last home game of the season.
One season prior, we did beat them once. We won 4-1 in the away game with two Josh Dolling goals and one each from Brad Jackson and Christian Hill. The home game was lost 4-3 when Ntumba Massanka got a double and Waqas Azam also got on the scoresheet.
Kick off tomorrow at Gawthorpe is 11 a.m.Share this page :
