Conlan back at the Globe
Northern Ireland Under-21 international left-back Luke Conlan returned to Morecambe today on loan and played a part in their 1-0 defeat against Luton tonight at Kenilworth Road.
Conlan initially joined Morecambe on a one month loan in mid-January. after returning from a loan at St. Mirren during the first half of the season. He made his debut for Morecambe as a late substitute at Northampton a week later and then went on to win a place in the side, making four starts before returning to Burnley last month. He’s now returned to Morecambe until the end of the season according to Burnley.
That differs somewhat from the Morecambe. They explained his return over the last two weeks came after he suffered a hamstring injury and have reported today that Luke will be available for Morecambe until Easter Monday which suggests the loan is just for a month.
They also reported that he impressed during his previous month there and was a player manager Jim Bentley was very keen to re-sign, claiming he will have one eye on him staying beyond the end of the season.
Conlan was named as a substitute tonight and came on for his sixth league appearance for them just before half time.Share this page :
