Defour and Drinkwater latest news
Sean Dyche has been holding his press conference ahead of Saturday’s game at Arsenal and has given an update on the positions of Steven Defour and Danny Drinkwater as well as Charlie Taylor and Robbie Brady.
Taylor and Brady were both missing last week and while that is still the case with Brady, there is better news on Taylor who is available for selection at the Emirates.
Dyche explained that Drinkwater came in fit but lacking football fitness said: “That’s the next step. We’ve a couple of games lined up next week and he will get some game time.”
There was a lot of speculation yesterday on the future of Defour (pictured) although there appeared to be very little in it. The manager has confirmed that he is back in light training but there is no timescale for a return.
That would all suggest a similar squad to that on duty last week against Southampton with Taylor added to it.
