From what it seems, it is just a matter of the paperwork being submitted to the relevant authorities and that’s now expected to be tomorrow, after which I’m sure the club will confirm the news that Defour is now a Claret on a three year contract with the option of a further year.

Burnley have not confirmed the signing of Belgian midfielder Steven Defour from RSC Anderlecht but it appears the whole world knows he’s now signed for us with pictures across the internet of him, one on the touchline with his partner, another on the pitch holding up a number 16 shirt and a third sat in the chairman’s lounge signing the forms.
