Burnley’s under-23 team play their third game of the season tonight in the Professional Development League with an away game against Bristol City.

1718 burnley olatunde bayode 00 500x500It will be a new experience too. Unlike Crystal Palace and our own club, Bristol City ensure that their supporters can watch the game so it’s an evening kick off at 7 p.m. and is being played at Ashton Gate. Not only that, to try and encourage even more supporters, they are holding a first team training session on the pitch between 5 and 6 p.m.

We face a Bristol City side who are still looking for their first point of the season. Two weeks ago they were beaten 2-1 at home by Sheffield United and last week went down by the same score at the City Ground against Nottingham Forest.

Having lost our opener at Crystal Palace, we won our first home game last week, beating Ipswich 2-0 with goals from Dan Agyei and Olatunde Bayode (pictured). It was a more experienced team for the Ipswich game with such as Adam Legzdins, Tom Anderson and Fredrick Ulvestad in the team alongside Agyei, but for tonight’s game it is a much younger and more inexperienced squad with six of the current under-18 youth squad in the travelling party.

We will select from: Aidan Stone, Adam Bruce, Arlen Birch, Scott Wilson, Oliver Younger, Ali Koiki, Harry Flowers, Christian N’Guessan, Rahis Nabi, Dwight McNeil, Mark Howarth, Nashé Chakwana, Bobby Thomas, Tommy Wood, Olatunde Bayode, Akim Samms.
