tarkowski at west hamSean Dyche has reported today that James Tarkowski picked up a knock in last night’s defeat against Chelsea that could lead to a defensive crisis for our game at Stoke in two days time.

Should England international Tarkowski miss out it could mean a start in the centre of defence for Charlie Taylor but a hopeful Dyche said: “It’s settled down overnight. I think he’s going to make it.

“We’ve been carrying the three main centre halves all season and we’ve done well with that. It’s the complexities of it, we’re not in a position to buy a player for the sake of it to fill a hole. That player might be £10 million.”

Dyche said that it was unlikely that Ben Mee would be fit to return at Stoke.
