Dyche nominated for manager of the month
Sean Dyche was one of the four managers nominated this morning for the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month Award for February.
He’s been nominated alongside Preston’s Simon Grayson, Brighton boss Chris Hughton and Lee Johnson who recently took over at Bristol City.
It’s not Sean’s first nomination of the season but will be his first award should he come out on top and the league table says we picked up more points than any other club during the second calendar month of the year.
The month kicked off with a 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday and was followed by a home win against Hull, another away draw at Reading, home wins against Rotherham and Nottingham Forest and that win at Bolton which took us to the top of the league.
That’s a total 14 points from six games, one more than the other three managers obtained, all of them winning 13 points.
Unfortunately, we’ve received no nominations for the player award, a surprise really given that Sam Vokes was in goalscoring form and the defence kept four clean sheets, the only goals conceded being scored by Sheffield Wednesday’s Kieran Lee and Bolton’s Liam Feeney.
The four players nominated are Bartosz Bialkowski (Ipswich), and he conceded five goals, Fulham’s Tom Cairney, Aden Flint of Bristol City and Brighton’s Tomer Hemed.
The winners will be confirmed tomorrow morning.Share this page :
