1011-burnley-chris-eagles-300x300He signed him from Manchester United in 2008, bought him from us three years later from Bolton Wanderers and now Owen Coyle has signed Chris Eagles for a third time after the player impressed on trial at Ross County.

Eagles, who was close to joining Rangers in 2010 after Burnley agreed a deal for him, will finally get the opportunity to play in the Scottish Premiership after agreeing a deal with Ross County until the end of the season.

Having spent last week on trial, Coyle said: “Chris did well on trial here last week and I feel he will be a great addition to the squad. He brings a wealth of experience playing at the top level.”

Eagles left Bolton in 2014 and has had a difficult time since. Having made over 200 Premier League and Championship appearances for Burnley and Bolton, he’s been restricted since to short term deals at Blackpool, Charlton, Bury, Accrington and Port Vale during which time he’s made just 31 league starts.

He will now go into the Ross County squad for the away game against Hearts at Tynecastle this Saturday for a team who are currently ninth in the Scottish Premiership.
