Early 2017 Supporters’ Club trip to London
The Supporters’ Club, who usually enjoy two weekends away during the season, have released details of their first trip during 2016/17 which takes them to London and the game against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on 21st January.
It’s a two night stay with the coach leaving Turf Moor on Friday 20th January at 10 a.m. on the outward journey which will include a lunch stop in Banbury, continuing to the Thistle Barbican Hotel in the Clerkenwell district by late afternoon.
The hotel has a fully equipped gym along with a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room which are available to all residents. There is also a residents bar and restaurant. It is situated to the north of St. Paul’s Cathedral and the closest underground stations are Old Street (Northern Line) and Barbican (Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan and Circle and Lines).
After breakfast at the hotel on the Saturday there will be leisure time during the morning prior to the coach departing for the Emirates Stadium around lunchtime. The coach will return to the hotel immediately after the game.
The coach will depart the hotel after breakfast on the Sunday with plans to visit a local attraction. The Olympic Park, Covent Garden or Petticoat Lane and Spitalfields Markets are all currently under consideration. The journey home will follow in early afternoon with a return to Burnley expected around 9:30 p.m.
The cost for the weekend, based on a twin/double room on a bed and breakfast basis is £170 per person with a single room supplement of £20.
