England call for Dwight
Dwight McNeil’s form since winning a place in the Burnley team has now won him his first England call with selection for the Under-20 squad for games against Poland and Portugal.
He’s previously joined the squad for training but this is the first time he’s received a call up and will now be hoping to win a first ever cap for his country.
It’s been a whirlwind start to the year for Dwight. He won his place in the Burnley team for the final game of 2018 and has played in every Premier League game this year and was in outstanding form last Sunday in the game against Liverpool at Anfield.
The first of the two games is against Poland next Thursday, 21st March, which will be played at St. George’s Park. The squad will then travel to play Portugal in Penafiel on the following Tuesday, 26th March.
