Fantasy Premier League and First Goal Sweep are two days away
We’re two days away from the new season and that means the big kick off for Up the Clarets’ two main fundraisers, Fantasy Premier League and the First Goal Sweep.
The number of entries for the fantasy game received this week has been terrific and, at the time of writing, the prize money is £495, which is well ahead of last season’s final total, and is now set to go past £500. Once closed for entries, the prizes will be confirmed but once again we’ll be able to pay out to the top three at the end of the season and to the managers of the month throughout the season.

The First Goal Sweep got underway in November 2007 on the day Steve Davis was in charge of the team at Leicester in November 2007 and has been a part of every match day since apart from one occasion at Bristol City in October 2012 due to technical reasons.
In that time it has raised over £7,600 for the Youth Foundation and paid out considerably more than that in prizes. Last season it raised a total of £836.10 with £1,335 paid out in those prizes. The prize for Saturday’s game is currently £30 but will increase to £40 should there be another 14 enter before the cut off time of 10 a.m. this Saturday. It costs just £1 per game with a minimum entry of five games.

The youth department at Turf Moor is going currently going through a big change with a new academy head expected in the next month. Once he has got his feet under the table and his department organised, Up the Clarets will discuss with him some ideas of how the money we currently have can be used.Share this page :
