1516 burnley matt gilks 00 630x420There’s been an about turn from goalkeeper Matt Gilks who had looked set to move to Scotland to sign for Hearts; today’s news is that he’s close to making a move to Rangers and ready to once again become a team mate of Joey Barton.

He’s set for talks with Rangers’ boss Mark Warburton over a move there and could join Barton, who signed for them recently, along with Clint Hill and Niko Kranjcar, two of Joey’s former QPR team mates.

Gilks left Burnley at the end of last season after two years at Turf Moor in which he played just twice in the Capital One Cup defeats against Sheffield Wednesday and Port Vale.
