Ginnelly in Lincoln return
Josh Ginnelly spent the second half of last season with Lincoln City, making 13 National League appearances for them as they went on to win the title and return to the Football League.
Today, the two clubs have confirmed that he’ll return to Sincil Bank on a season long loan which will take him to the end of his current contract with the Clarets.
He joined us from Shrewsbury on a three year deal in the summer of 2014. He enjoyed a productive second half of that season on loan at Altrincham while last season, having scored a late winner for us in the pre-season friendly at Bolton, he joined Walsall until January before making the move to Lincoln.
Manager Danny Cowley said on completing the deal: “We are delighted to be able to extend the loan of Josh. We thought he bought into what we are and the pressing game we like to play. He’s got real talent, pace and he’s got a good end product.
“We’re really excited to be able to offer the pathway for him to develop into the player we all know he can become.”
