Hard work helping Dan Agyei to score goals
Dan Agyei is currently on loan at Walsall and has been grabbing the headlines with three goals in four games, including another spectacular goal in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against league leaders Shrewsbury Town.
His goal on Saturday was a right footed strike from 25-yards and he told the Express & Star: “I’m not used to scoring spectacular goals, it’s a recent thing and the goal against Shrewsbury was on my right foot, my weaker foot.
“I’ve been working hard in training to be able to score goals with both feet and the minute I hit it I thought it was going in which is a great feeling. It’s always pleasing to score goals no matter how they go in.”
He added: “I feel I am learning all the time. I’ve settled in really well here. All the boys have been great with me and given me advice. It’s tough to know which goal is my favourite, the one against Shrewsbury was on my weaker foot but Charlton was the last minute just seconds after we went behind so that one just wins.”
He’s at Walsall until January and has now scored four goals in eight games for them. He spent the first half of last season at Coventry, for whom he scored five times, before returning to Burnley in January and making three substitute appearances in the Premier League.
There was a lot of competition for his services on deadline day in August. Walsall won that race and are now benefiting from his goalscoring exploits for them in League One.Share this page :
