Heaton likely to be out for months
Tom Heaton went down this afternoon just under ten minutes before half time in our home game against Crystal Palace. He immediately called for assistance and after a few minutes left the field to be replaced by Nick Pope.
The news isn’t good for Tom with manager Sean Dyche said: “At the moment it’s a suspected dislocated shoulder and we’ll find out more later. Tom has gone off to hospital to have that fully checked over, but if so, I would imagine he’ll be out for months, not weeks.”
Heaton has missed just three league games since joining Burnley, all of them last season when Paul Robinson deputised. Today’s injury gave Nick Pope a league debut for Burnley in what was his first ever outing in the Premier League. He will now likely get an extended run in the team.Share this page :
