crystal palace 1000x500Ben Mee was our player of the year, Jeff Hendrick’s goal against Bournemouth was voted the best of the season while our home win against Liverpool was considered the best home performance of 2016/17.

During this week, we’ve followed that up with a vote for the best away performance of the season and I think we all knew which game was going to win it from the minute the vote got underway.

There were only five games to choose from, four draws and the one win at Crystal Palace. I suspected the 0-0 draws at Sunderland and Middlesbrough wouldn’t pick up many votes; they didn’t, they didn’t pick up a single vote and neither did the 1-1 draw at Hull.

That left the 0-0 draw at Old Trafford, our first away point of the season against the only win which came at Crystal Palace at the beginning of May. There was no doubt that the Selhurst Park victory proved to be the winner.

It won easily too, with 85% of the vote going to Palace and 15% for the United draw.
