Jay Rod’s not talking Italian
Robert de Niro might be waiting, talking Italian according to Bananarama, but there is no need for Burnley striker Jay Rodriguez, who I’m sure must speak a bit of Spanish, to be learning any Italian with no real sign of a move to Inter Milan on the horizon.
The speculation that Inter boss Antonio Conte might be keen on adding Jay to his strike force of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sánchez surfaced this week from the Italian media, but Clarets’ boss Sean Dyche shrugged it off today.
He said: “In my time here I’ve had some weird and wonderful things and I think that’s certainly in my top ten, probably in my top five. He’s just joined the club for one so I don’t know where that one’s come from, that’s for sure.” Asked if Jay had started to learn Italian, Dyche added: “Not to my knowledge. You never know.”
