Juke and Hendrick as we get set to move into last day
This morning it looked as though Derby County midfielder Jeff Hendrick was going to sign for Hull City and that there was a chance of Clarets’ striker Lukas Jutkiewicz going to Ipswich Town.
With around 25 and a half hours of the transfer window to go, that seems to have changed with reports tonight that Hendrick could be Turf Moor bound after all and that Juke could well be on his way to Birmingham in a loan deal.
Out of the blue late this afternoon came news that we’d moved ahead of Hull in the chase for Hendrick, this after it looked as though we’d received a final knock back from Brighton for Dale Stephens. There was even a suggestion of him being with us for a medical but that, as yet, appears to be nothing more than speculation.
What I do know is that Burnley are hopeful of adding two more signings tomorrow so it is a case of watch this space.
I heard this morning that any potential moves for Jutkiewicz or Michael Kightly to Ipswich were off and that there was a potential for Juke to move elsewhere. The Birmingham Mail are reporting tonight that elsewhere is Birmingham City. They have said that the Blues have agreed a loan deal with us for the striker.
One way or another, it’s going to be a busy day tomorrow with a potential for another three players going out and that one more, besides Hendrick, coming in.Share this page :
