Late goal ends youths unbeaten run
Burnley have lost 2-1 this morning against Blackpool in the Youth Alliance League, a first defeat in the league since 1st October.
It brings to an end an unbeaten run that had stretched eight games but things looked positive for the young Clarets when we went in front with a Nashé Chakwana (pictured) goal on 32 minutes, scoring from close range following a corner.
It was almost immediately 2-0 and the young Clarets had the better of things up to half time despite a couple of late Blackpool corners.
Unfortunately, the home side were level within two minutes of the restart through Dylan Sumner and, just when a draw looked the most likely, they won it with a Christian N’Guessan goal with six minutes of the game remaining.
From top to bottom – having lost today to the top of the league, our next game, also away, is against bottom of the league Wrexham in two weeks time.Share this page :
