1718 burnley ntumba massanka 00 500x500Young striker Ntumba Massanka rejoined Wrexham in July for a second loan spell with the National League club. It was until January and he’s now returned to Burnley after the expiry of the loan.

He’s made a total of 23 league appearances for them this season with just eight of them starts, but he’s only scored twice, both of those goals coming in the 2-0 home win against Bromley in September.

Neither club have commented but Ntumba, who was on the bench for their game yesterday, has taken to Twitter to pass on his thanks and best wishes to the Welsh club. He said: “I just want to thank everyone involved with Wrexham Football Club for everything, welcoming me from the day I entered the doors last season till today, from the manager to the fans and to everyone behind the scenes at the club.”

He added: “But not least my team mates, a great bunch of lads that put in 100 per cent every day. I know there’s more than enough in that dressing room to get the club back where it belongs. All the best for the future, thank you again for everything.”

Macclesfield have moved six points clear at the top of the National League, but Massanka leaves Wrexham with them in the play-off positions as they look to return to the Football League from which they were relegated with Mansfield ten years ago.

Apart from his two spells at Wrexham, Massanka has also spent time out on loan at both York and Morecambe.
