Re: Quiz Question - Claret PL winners....

From Google: Currently, a player needs to appear in five matches in a title-winning season to qualify for a medal (inclusive of matches as a playing substitute). And I stand corrected - UEFA gives out up to 40 medals to the CL winners to distribute as they see fit - but that includes all management ...

Re: Quiz Question - Claret PL winners....

Presumably the Transfer Markt website takes the fact that he benched without appearing twice in the CL qualifying and benched 6 times without appearing in the PL that season and then generates the nice trophy icons

Re: Quiz Question - Claret PL winners....

Heaton has neither

You have to be in the 18 for the CL final to get a medal - he wasn't (Kuszczak was the bench GK)
You have to make a certain number of appearances to qualify for a PL winners medal - I'm assuming 0 appearances is below the threshold :)

Agree. I think its porbably because there are more people who are right footed therefore its more common, especially at junior level for two right footers to play together. It should be worth noting that although that was the case last season, this season there are only 4 worse defences in the PL than us and 3 of them are in the bottom 3, the other is Bournemouth who we have scored 7 against, thus contributing to that figure (and they've only conceded 1 more than us)....

For me it’s massively about the full backs We’ve not won a single game with Taylor in the team. I like him defensively, don’t get me wrong, but he and Bardsley don’t provide the same dynamism going forward as Ward and Lowton.
