I suspect the club first and foremost spotted the opportunity for resale on the player with an outside chance he might have more of a benefit for the first team.

This all being said, it's relatively early days. He's 23. Same age as Foster.

I think there has been an awareness of this case prior to the TV series. I for one had been following it. Rather, I think it says more about the society we are living in these days that it takes a dramatisation on TV for mass interest in it to occur.

We are bread and butter for established Premier League teams. Very nice to play against. There will be at least one major defensive mistake a game presenting a key opportunity. Whilst at the other end even when we do create clear cut chances we find them hard to convert.
