If we had Barkley I could see our midfield/attack lining up as follows

Roberts McNeil Brownhill Barkley
*********Cornet Woods***********
I think we could stop up with that formation.

I was on that match and remember it quite well. To be honest that was the kind of game I expected to see on the Turf in those days, high scoring with Burnley scoring three, four or five and winning. Unfortunately I don’t expect to see same being served up these days, perhaps things might change for ...

Hi Paul, I also spent a lot of time in the company of people who spoke Swiss German. The French would never call The Netherlands/Holland “Le Pays de les Inferieurs” because “de les” does not exist in French, it is always condensed to “des”, hence it would be Le Pays des Inferieurs. To hold on to a lead you need players in midfield who can hold the ball and pass to each other. Unfortunately we don’t have that. The rest of the team looked much better with Cornet and Vydra, let’s hope they are not seriously injured.

I agree, Elizabeth, I am pleases to see Vydra and especially Cornet in the team, but I am still concerned that our usual midfield twosome will be outmanned and out-thought in our weakest area. I hope I’m wrong and they can get some good forward moves going, but I’m not confident.
