Bit of trivia for you. In France "le champagne" (masculine) refers only to the drink, whilst La Champagne (feminine) refers only to the area where it is produced. Just so you don't make a faux pas the next time you visit.

I don't care who is relegated as long as it is not us, and hopefully we have a good recruitment drive in the summer to bring in some strength in midfield and more pace upfront. We'll be set fine for next season then under Sir Sean Dyche.

Stamford Bridge was home to the London Athletic Club, before Chelsea started using it in 1905, hence it always had the running track round the pitch, which meant the spectators were at a distance.

I remember going on Goodison before they changed the shape of the wall behind the goals. It happened at several grounds in different ways and was, as stated above, because of missiles being thrown.

I can not confirm this, but I read/was told that the longest ever, televised putt in a golf match was made by Sir Terry Wogan in a Pro/celeb am match at Gleneagles. Some where in the region of 200 foot.

When I'm back in Burnley for a game, I go in the 110 after the game because my old mates go there. However, after the game I do find it too crowded and busy to enjoy a quiet pint. Not easy to get served and you get knocked about by the crush of people in there.
