Aclaret. Life in the sixties was a blur for most teenagers and being in a band even more so. All I remember is we went over to Bacup way somewhere I'm guessing about 1694/5. It might not have been Bacup itself, but one of the small towns over that way. It wasn't a big place, about the same size as P...

I played drums with my band on the same bill as WF and the Mindbenders about three times I think it was: Burnley Casino club, the Ritz Manchester and a strange little Cavern type place over Bacup way somewhere. To be able to fly back to Burnley now and then to get some games in on the Turf, since this would mean the Covid problem had ended and things were getting back to normal. Brian Miller was a centre back. Our best central midfielder is without doubt Jimmy Mac, followed, in my opinion, by Brian O'Neil, who was a one man midfield on his day. Other very good players like Steven, Dobson, Collins, Defour have been deservedly mentioned, though none of them will ever compare ...

The use of ye in early and Middle English has two different usages. In the Middle Ages ye was used as a spelling for 'the', as in ye olde shoppe.
