Re: Gareth Thomas' HIV diagnosis

To be fair, if he hadn't said anything we would be none the wiser and it wouldn't be a topic for discussion on here. Agreed FD but it seems he feels he has had to reveal all as in his tweet apparently "evil" people were threatening to disclose his illness. How on earth are we still in the...

A few years ago I was at a function at the football club at which Jimmy Mac was asked what he thought of these players who go down to try to win penalties. “I used to do it,” he said. And so did Harry Potts according to my Dad and for those on here who can remember Pilky- how on earth can your head...

Agreed mdd2 a game that will last in the memory for ever. Maurice Setters had already "knocked seven bells out of Mac", that was the problem. Along with Jimmy Scoular and Eddie Clamp, Mac reckoned these 3 the hardest he played against though the Burnley side of 59/60 could hand it out too...

Yes it was a moment that will remain with me I think even if I end up not knowing who I am. To be fair to WBA the full back could have really knocked seven bells out of Mac but didn't. Can only just about fill the ground now and another tier as opposed to a complete rebuild would increase the capacity by about 3000. I think the present BL only holds about 3000- if that
I imagine planning permission given the houses on Harry Potts way will be a problem too.
