I'm not religious bobinho, so best avoid that one. I just find it hard to believe nobody has been back in 50 years. Such a race to be the first, then nothing. Because it was a political thing primarily to show the Yanks to be up with and then ahead of the USSR. So the raison d'etre was accomplished...

Surely Jay is Sam's replacement not an addition to the squad. We only have a squad of 20 plus 3 keepers and McNeil with these two signings so if there are no leavers and we exclude Ageyi and Dunne from our 25 there is only room for two more additions of players over 21 years of age on Jan 1st 2019.

Indeed he was. I have a vivid recollection of one of his two goals in 6th Round replay on the Turf in '59. We'd drawn at Villa on the previous Saturday and were then supremely confident of making the semi-final before McParland did his usual job on us. Angus had played in that first game but was re...

The real poor result was the 3-3 draw in FA Cup from 3-0 up and a harsh penalty against Elder for arm ball in 1960 Also that run in of 10 games in 34 days from March 30th to May 2nd 1960 (W5 D3 L2) was almost as bad as the 12 games in 31 days from March 31st to April 30th when we blew up in 62. I fear this club will be going the way of Stanley in the 60's.
Nice to read how City are helping the pyramid system of soccer-walking over the weaklings when they are down, but happy to poach any budding starlets for nothing when the doomed club disappears.
I think Colin Bell should be having a word.
