Re: The Clarets Collapse of 1962
The reserves had held Chelsea 4-4 in 1961 so not to use some of the reserves was an error although I would need to refresh how many players we used that April to see if Potts had rotated much We did of course get fined for that in 1961 and whether that made Lord stop Potts from rotating the squad we...

This year The Saints have won two drawn one and lost the rest. There are a few seasons where a team ostensibly safe go on a shocking run and get sucked into a relegation battle. Could be them this season.Hope their form doesn't start to pick up when we play them.

I think you can probably forget about a new RB coming in this summer then. Have a look at CT's squad on this MB and I think you will see that we already have a squad of 22 and that includes Glennon, Benson as they were 21 by January 2021 and assumes Mumbongo, Brady are released, Tarks leaves and Du...

Re: ARTICLE: First Premier League game at the Turf for Madley
No bookings means Westy has to avoid being booked in just one match in the next five and if he avoids being booked in two I think we will have no suspensions for yellow cards. All the other players have only a maximum of four yellows so by game 38 Barnes could only have 14. Hope that doesn't mean tw...

My concern is Ben Mee usually picks up an injury towards the back end of a season, and the could cause big problems, but with the players practically playing every 3 days, the time for niggles to settle down is none existent so we are at a higher risk of players being side-lined, and we just dont h...

It was a great win, but we're still only 1 point ahead of games played. 1 point per game is 38 points which will surely keep us up. So while it was a nice bonus to collect 3 points that seemed unlikely, we still need 1-2 players to come in as we're still in a fight. Otherwise, we're relying on impo...

Certainly plenty of parallels between the 2, we entered both on a barren run, and struggling to score goals, and we faced a team gunning for the title. Looking at the subs bench I would hazard a guess that Peacock-Farrell, Dunne and Long are isolating and that is why Tarks and maybe Mee played. And it is possible Brownhill and Westy are also isolating, otherwise they might have been expected to be subs at least. Likely a pretty weakened team agains...

If the premier league have moved to lateral flow resting where the result is available in about 30 minutes then it is hardly surprising cases are rising amongst footballerswho once showing a negative test intermingle with colleagues. At best this test will miss 30% even up to 50% of positive cases
