I have been privileged to visit many locations on the Somme over the years and am always impressed with the way that the French local authorities maintain the war graves. Further afield I have also visited the Menin Gate many times and would recommend a visit to all. My wife has played there in a si...

One poster mentioned above that lagers can be tricky. I would agree, you need to develop a bit of nous, not least because for best results (in my view) they need to be brewed 'cold'. One that I regularly use is Cooper's European Lager but I use brew enhancer rather than dextrose as the fermentable. ...

Wow! Thanks Tony! That brought back some memories. I was an impressionable 9 year old at the time. I'd probably only seen half a dozen games at Turf Moor before this one. I remember being in awe of George Best and this was the one and only time I ever saw him play live. I also remember being sardine...

For those with a passing interest in the Whitechapel Murders the book 'Severin - A Tale of Jack The Ripper' is a very good novel based around the fact that Inspector Abberline suspected that George Chapman (real name Severin Klosowski) was the Whitechapel Murderer.

How big is your dog Steve? I do a lot of long distance walking (15-25 miles) with my two and use a couple of doggie slings to give them occasional breaks. They usually take turns but occasionally I have to carry both! They weigh about 7kgs each.
