Never stay at the Norbreck. Each of the 4 walls in my room were papered in different generations. One person checked in to his room to find a (proper male variety) tramp in his bed.

Just as an aside, regarding the etymology of the word “guff”. The word stems from the research in the early 1970’s by the formation of the Global Understanding of Farting Foundation when the acronym was adapted by many to represent a “particularly nauseous fart”. The organisations research divided o...

These are superb, but I still love watching the 3-1 win against Cardiff in 92 that’s on YouTube somewhere. There’s slow motion replays of the last two goals showing the Longside ‘erupting’. It was very special in there when ‘the roof came off’.

Heaton must stay. Pope’s the better keeper.
Hart’s good back up - but could be replaced as no3 easily enough.
Heaton starts. Pope’s top class back up and a better younger long term keeper.
Billy Mercer is pretty crucial too.
Not a bad dilemma.

Newcastle away early 80’s. Keegan's last game. Spent the game huddled under the concrete lip that curled round the away end. Probably just wearing a diamond Pringle jumper though.

Wettest was Cardiff away in the Ternent promotion season. Wetter than an otters pocket.
