Great tune. Great band. Nipped into a vinyl shop last week in Winsford and bought a magazine whose editor was clearly working overtime.dougcollins wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 9:29 pmIn that case, give ‘All Along the Watchtower’ by XTC a listen. Holy ****.

Every time I see this topic I instantly think of several Clash cover versions. However - my answer as always is “Heard it through the grapevine” by The Slits. Turn up the bass. Loud.

Enjoyed a 2-0 win at Birmingham in 78/9. They were a division higher than us and had most of the play but we scored 2 fantastic goals - Tony Morley in the first minute then Leighton James at the death. Norbreck. Blackpool. A unique smell. Each wall of my room was from a different generation. The plumbing and facilities were pre-historic. And my mate had a tramp asleep in his bed after he’s checked in. A stunning place.

A great picture from the Orient game of a section of the Longside that was predominantly chaps who travelled home and away, and had a fondness for a smart jumper or tracksuit top. Many a recognisable face in there. Wouldn’t want to go through that again though.

Advice. Watching England, central London
As it says, staying down before our game - and looking for any recommendations as to where may be best to watch the England game on Saturday night? Looking online there’s loads of sports bars come restaurants. However we’d prefer a decent boozer with ample tv’s / a big screen. Any help welcome please.

Each restaurant had a number on opening. For instance, Market Street in Manchester was number 100 which opened in 1984. This was the flagship at the time. Close to this time was 103 - Bury. And 107 - Burnley. I think Rochdale was about 104. Predominantly only town centre located at those times I thi...

My first season ticket was 74/75. My clear recollection is that we were singing this on a regularly basis then and / or shortly after. My clearest recollection is that it certainly featured prominently in the away end at Boundary Park in the Anglo Scottish Final.
