You are a good man :)

Not tonight as I am about to go to the cinema after doing a few things at home

Two things I will ask you now if you don't mind

Did you marry a Filipina?

And is she living with you in England and with permanent residence?

Re: Where to go in Thailand or possibly Bali? No

Mel, If I knew then what I know now it would have saved me a lot of heartache. The wedding formalilities can be a little frustating, but a word of warning, once you have registered your wedding at the town hall you have to stay in the Philippines for 10-14 days before you can get married so leave y...

Re: Where to go in Thailand or possibly Bali?

I also had a civil wedding, but for instance, divorce papers don't prove that you have not married again. You both need certificates of no impediment which have to be taken to the British Consulate in Manila to be authorized. What I'm trying to say is, yes it can be easy to get married in the Phili...

Re: Where to go in Thailand or possibly Bali?

You can book whatever you want from your chair here in England. I’ve been all over south east Asia. January is quiet, you’re at the start of peak season in Thailand. I would recommend Koh Lanta. It’s not as busy as the more popular island like the spoilt ko Samui and Phuket. Long beach is fantastic...
