A good number of them certainly do. It isn’t hard to imagine that a sudden obscene level of financial investment from the Middle East would make fans feel more detached from the team they have spent their lives supporting.

We’re too slow to take them which allows the other team to get set, and teams know that if they get tight to our players then we will give away possession. I noticed the passing statistic. Appalling at this level. We can’t play when teams press us, something only Defour and to a lesser extent Hendrick have in their locker. What was more disappointing is that we didn’t bother to close down Huddersfield with anywhere near the intensity they did to us.

Just to add - the standard of referreing is terrible in this country. There are a handful of good refs who tend to get the bigger, and often televised games, whilst teams like us have to put up with inept performances more often than not.

Very poor. He handled Schindler’s head injury appallingly and he should be reprimanded for allowing play to continue despite obviously knowing the severity of the injury.

We can’t afford to play that poorly again this season. Luckily we were against a very very poor side and in fairness, most of their chances were very scrappy and we couldn’t clear our lines. Still, onwards and upwards and the three points are massive in the context of the season.
