On the bright side the passport office seem to have got their act together as we got a new one issued within 2 weeks of making the application just this month. Compared to the chaos we faced 2 years ago…

Re: Google Contactless Pay
I use Apple Pay (never used Google Pay) which for some time was useable with a finger print. Then with my last couple of phones it's been facial recognition. I found that a faff (I like that word) at first but got used to it and find it much easier and quicker than getting cards out of my wallet. I...

Re: Google Contactless Pay
The point was that if your PIN is stolen, you can get a new PIN and the thief is no better off. If your keys are stolen, you can change the locks. If your fingerprint is stolen, then some thief has that fingerprint for ever- if it's any use. Maybe it isn't, and the fingerprint system is in practice...

Re: Internationals 26-3-24
Played pretty well and Kane probably would have filled his boots with some of the chances created in the second half. Obviously giving away two goals like that was criminal and not something we’re likely to get away with against a good team in the Euros.

Re: Google Contactless Pay
Oh, I see. No, I wasn't saying that any thief can do it. But I suspect that there are some groups of quite clever thieves who could get systems in place to do it at speed. Once they have your fingerprint, would they be able to use it with Google pay on a different phone? Long experience has taught ...

No idea, not my field. It is, however, possible to make a rubber finger with any given fingerprint on it, if you have the print. Any suggestion that it can't be done and never will be able to be done, is unlikely. But you said ‘Steal a phone, and if it has a good fingerprint anywhere on the case, y...

Steal a phone, and if it has a good fingerprint anywhere on the case, you're in. One worry about fingerprint technology is that once the thieves have it (and they will, because no system is foolproof) then you're a bit stuffed. you can change your PIN number, but you can't change your fingerprints....

I pay for my season ticket via DD also (convenience more than anything else with the auto renewal), it's currently something like £36 a month for my seat in the Jimmy Mac Upper. Pure guesswork here, but let's assume a 10% rise as probably in the ballpark of what ALK intend to impart on us - that wo...

I think that they are too late to set up a Direct Debit request for April because they have to give you, and your bank, at least 10 working days notice of the payment. If they decided to do 12 payments then they would be shouting themselves in the foot for next April - when revenues will probably b...

I spoke to the club yesterday and, apparently, there will be an email at the start of next week with all the renewal details. Additionally, there will be NO direct debit payment for April, which will mean people needing to pay in 11 instalments at most, meaning at least an 8.3% increase in the mont...

Finished this off last week. Couldn’t really get too engaged with it to be honest. No connection to the characters and I thought the aerial fight scenes were very samey. Re: Next seasons kit manufacturer - Castore
I'm not sure on the quality, but Castore was marketed as a premium sportswear brand - they have a range at Reiss. Has this poor reputation just come from complaints from Villa players about the shirts retaining sweat?
