Re: BURNLEY FC CHAMPIONS BOOK

Mine has just arrived but the packaging was torn and the book is not in perfect condition unfortunately [/quote] I'm sure they will exchange it for you Tony, it looks a good book and one you want to keep and keep in perfect condition. Therefore it needs to be in perfect condition when you first rece...

Re: Dyche!

Some people really need to sit down for a couple of hours and think before going on a Footy forum 🤣🤣🤣 15 games in 6 weeks with a threadbare squad ... playing a team fighting for its PL survival in sh*te windy conditions... I am not trying to make excuses ... it was a terrible game against a terribl...

Re: OT: Decent hiking boots?

Altberg boots for the winter season, gtx merrel lightweight boots for the other 3 seasons. As someone else suggested, get some custom insoles. Warm and Dry at Whalley will get you fitted out correctly, well worth a visit (not sure if they are open at the moment though), but they certainly know their...

Add Venezuela to the list. Antonio (Tony) who goes to all the games with me is from Venezuela and every game his mates back home gather at the local bar to watch us live on T.V. They always send us a video and pics through of them watching us whilst they are enjoying a tipple or two, yep they all dr...

Sad news indeed. Known Bob from way back when he first became a director and used to frequent the Old Bridge Inn in Barrowford. R.I.P. Bob.

Re: Bruce Springsteen premier rock star

Happy Birthday Bruce, 70 years young and getting ready for another tour. I thought details may be announced today re: tour dates, or was hoping they would. Nils has already been tweeting he’s ready for it. One thing i would say is if you can, travel abroad to watch a show as well as seeing him in th...

Re: O/T Motorcyclists

Just got myself a 2016 ktm 250 ex-f factory. First time i've ever had an enduro bike, or a 4 stroke, in fact never ridden one 'till i bought this. Done a bit of trials riding but this is soooo much better. Hopefully heading up back cowm in the next few weeks, bit of practice and then have a go at ra...

Re: Key players missing

Was discussing the players we have missing with a friend yesterday, and must say that when you consider the importance of the players out then the run is little surprise. Hopefully we invest next season in more quality backup to prevent similar in the future. Never known a season like it. Heaton - ...

Re: Dave Burnley's Book

Once sat behind Dave at an away match a good few years ago now, and he had a young lass with him whom i assumed was his daughter and she had Clarette Anne on the back of her Burnley shirt, the "blue" was missing though. :D Always seemed a good lad to me.

How many read that in Dyche's accent? Haha, i did for one. Great post, thanks for sharing it. What a top man SD seems to be, i too would love to sit down and have a pint and a chat with him, think it would be very interesting. Re: Tottenham 1 Burnley 4 - 35 years ago

I was on a coach that night and, from memory, seemed to be a long walk after the game to get back to them. Not as though we cared. Your right Tony, it did seem a long way to the coaches. Could have been a dodgy walk as well if we was’nt surrounded by the police. It’s fair to say the locals were not...

Re: Tottenham 1 Burnley 4 - 35 years ago

Remember this night like it was yesterday. Went down on the coach from the gas workers, went to every match with them at the time, had a pint in the club before we set off and got outside white hart lane around 3 pm. All went in the corner pin ( I think that’s what it was called; just outside the aw...

Fan Zone

Like the sound of Bowland doing the fan zone this season,we always go to the 110 club but that could well change this year, always been a fan of their beers. Talking about this in the pub last Sunday someone asked the question about toilets being available, because they had been told there was none!...

O/T Carpet Fitters

Any recommendations folks of a good carpet supplier and fitter, the ones we used to use for many years have retired so we need to look elsewhere. The missus wants all downstairs, hallway, landing and two flight of stairs doing. There's a few fiddly bits so we do need somebody who is experienced, i'm...

Re: Ski Season outside winter

Tignes is always a good shout for a late season break, me and the wife went one April and had fresh snow and lots of sunshine. Massive area as well being linked with Val D'isere. Some Scandinavian resorts do have quite a bit of alpine skiing, but do a bit of research first because cross country is f...

Re: fao any Burnley fan in top tier at the Etihad

As already mentioned first two rows were covered in netting thus making row c the first row in use. I was sat in row c and looking at the height of the wall and barrier on top of it in front of row a, i can see why they are not in use. Look totally inadequate to me and could see someone going over t...
