Re: Sue Bolton - RIP
I've been thinking a lot about her and Allen today and felt I needed to add more. I distinctly remember the look of abject horror she gave me when I folded up a match programme into my pocket. Putting a crease into it was not the thing to do and I was told in no uncertain terms about how heinous a c...

RIP Sue and condolences to Allen.
They took me under their wing when I started to go to away games with Colne Clarets, helping me out with lifts to and from the pick up point. She was a lovely person and I have incredibly fond memories of her.

I do remember a cracking 5-2? win against them at home in the 90's. Jim Stannard was their goalkeeper and it was around the time the backpass rule had just been brought in. He was certainly of the generation of keepers who didn't adjust too well to the new rule. Don Mackay was their manager and we r...

I've been doing this for quite a while. The main points are covered by everyone else, no apologies for repetition. 1) Be paranoid about sanitising. Seriously. I prefer an oxygen based sanitiser as its no rinse. There's loads out there. Avoid the bleach based ones as they add rinsing it out as anothe...

Jean-Philippe Gbamin is available on a free atm. Had a tough run with injuries at Everton but might have finally got over them. It is a risk but there was once a very good player there. If someone is still available on free its because there is a reason such as salary demands or injury history. A cl...

Absolutely. We looked much, much better than at any point this season so far. Koleosho was really positive and direct. Berge looked more settled as the DM. Amdouni was a creative threat. Our passing was crisper and our midfield started to win second balls. 65% possession 15+ chances. I still think w...

Budget is a massive factor as well as how long you want to be able to use it for. So much ire directed at him based on conjecture. It's clear that a significant portion of the fan base simply hate him. I believe this is unjustified but sadly there is no way back from that. There are rules/laws and there is the spirit of the game. The Aussies have not broken a rule but they have broken the spirit. I use an Anker for long haul travel. The model I use has less output than what you will be looking for because of airline regulations. I can say that anker is a really good brand and I've been very happy with it. I would also add that make sure the cables you use are rated for the wattage you need. ...

We gave them more of a game than several premier league clubs have so far this season. We missed a cutting edge up front but created several really good chances.
If we get promoted and if we bring in a bit more quality up front, then I'm not concerned about us competing at a higher level.
