The government could take the same useless position to that of the Shadow Education Secretary. Oppose schools reopening and at the same time oppose online learning because children need the benefit of face-to-face learning with a teacher. I can certainly see why it's deemed necessary to get the state schools back, though. Privately schooled kids will have had a much better experience of distance learning, on average, due to much better and more frequent access to technology as well as a higher chance of having an adult able to guide...
