Re: Kompany press conference pre West Ham
Unfortunately VK and the team are in a catch 22 position at the moment. Everything they do is scrutinised and criticised whenever a loose word or pass is made which leads into a downward spiral. I really do hope he pulls off a few results sooner rather than later to ease the pressure off both himsel...

Re: Possible affordable targets for next season
What is our Prem style ? I thought it was supposed to be the same as our championship style I think that is a perfectly legitimate question. It isn't a possession based team, nor a pressing style. We aren't robust, not really long ball in the true sense of the word, don't play to hit the opposition...

Good article by Tony Livesey, as was the earlier article and I do tend to agree with him. One thing he does mention is about VK learning. Can’t imagine the analytics are used so much to sign GK’s. We do know Kompany watched Trafford in a lot of games last year before he signed. Nixon reported he was at several Bolton games watching him. I think you’re worrying about nothing: the salary that Kompany takes, his reputation and his abili...

VK obviously has no objective.
A team in our position would stop what they are doing ( it's not working & never will ) and start from scratch by earning a clean and progressing from there.
We are not even settling up for a clean sheet just rearranging the chairs on a sinking ship.

We are discussing tactics as though the next game is the 4th or 5rh game of the season. We have witnessed 26 games of tactical ineptness. I honestly think VK isn't playing Cork in case he actually plays well then he would be obliged ( by the fans ) to extend his contract, when he clearly doesn't want him at the club.

3 matches on tonight. 2 will have VAR , one won't. The cost of VAR at the 2 grounds will be £9251.00 + VAT This is split 50 / 50 between the 2 clubs., so the away club pays a bigger percentage because they get less of the gate receipts. Some of the smaller clubs playing away at PL grounds don't have...

We had it right about 4 or 5 seasons ago. Everybody looked up to Burnley as a model club. The players values were increasing and the clubs value was increasing due to the success on field. It went pear shaped when Dyche wouldn't sell Tarks for a massive profit. The way ALK are trying to do it now is...

I think Amdouni and even more so Tresor, are perfect examples of "stat" players.
It's easy to spot players with brilliant stats in other teams / leagues, but it takes real skill to spot players with good stats coupled with grit, a strong work ethic, strength and desire.

My prediction is this: First 20 mins on top completely dominating the game. After 22 minutes and 27 seconds Trafford will flap at a cross, completely miss it - the ball will then hit the post and rebound onto the back of Amdouni's head into the path of Jefferey Schlupp who will pass it into the net...
