Re: Nathan Tella

I think Tella made the difference last season in terns of winning the championship and maybe promotion. Very talented player and a mystery why Southampton seemed reluctant to use/keep him. The players bought to replace him for this season have been nowhere near as good.

Last season in the Championship we had one full play on the wing and another moving into midfield. I wouldn't even have scooby what next season plans are since I have never figured it out for even one individual game this season.

Positions, team selections, substitutions (timing as well as player choices) and tactics have all been a complete mystery to me this season.

He was out if position, again, and probably working himself back to fitness. He has been poor but he was nowhere near as poor as Fofana who has been dire for the last last few games.

Henry Winter was sat behind me and my nephew for the 2009 League Cup semi final against Spurs. His report used our reactions (nephew in tears) as part of his match report. Something along the lines of 'the father consoling his tearful son.. brave Burnley, etc..' Still have the report.

I went in at the Janes Hargreaves far right hand turnstile at about 7:15 on Tuesday night. A steward had his back to the wall and was giving me a really intense Paddington bear hard stare. I stopped and awkwardly looked back. This went on for about 2 minutes then he looked away and I then went throu...

Hapless first half from us when Everton were so nervous they were in danger of making us look good. Followed by a buggers muddle of a second half against an a poor side. I haven't a clue how we were meant to be playing that game.

I also watched from a stream and agree that he had a decent game from a clarets point of view. Everton could and probably should have had 2 penalties and O'Shea deserved the red card so we definitely can't blame the officials for this game.

Re: REPORT: Home draw takes unbeaten run to four

Good report. I was another one confused by how Fofana and Foster were played. I think they were too as well as Odebert who I'm sure would have been happier on the wing instead of Foster. Also right about the awful defending from the free kick that should not have been.

Maybe it was a deceptive view, but from where I was sat (just in front of the tvs on the Longside), the loose strut appeared to be hanging also over the lower end of upper tier. Surprised that they did not also clear those people as well.

Muric 8 Vitinho 7 Taylor 5 Estėve 7 O'Shea 7 Berge 8 Cullen 7 Odebert 5 Bruun Larsen 7 Foster 6 Fofana 4 Rodriguez 5 Muric playing the long balls was varying in effectiveness but it did at least stop their press. But our forwards were wasteful and poor in the final third given the possession we had.

Incredible that a professional journalist and ex pro footballer might think this could even be true. And now watching Ci...

I think Cullen struggled earlier when we played with 2 in midfield but flourishes when we have 3 who are used to the position. The introduction of Brownhill made us better, even with 10.
