There is nothing wrong with VAR and everything wrong with the people who operate it and make decisions. When you see a red card awarded for the Soucek incident and then the ridiculous theatrics from Salah being awarded a penalty, you can have little faith in those charged with officiating the game.

In the next away game at Man U he had a stormer in a 0-0 draw which included the save from Zlatan. But the one to deny Charlie Austin at Southampton was something else and the away fans couldn’t have been better positioned.
