He's a great to me as I genuinely believe we wouldn't have had the subsequent Premier League seasons without his achievement. We'd have never signed the likes of Trippier, Ings, Shackel etc. without that first promotion and we'd have had a similar existence to PNE or, hilariously, Blackburn. Speaki...

I remember going to Chesterfield in the forerunner to the Sherpa Van in 1986 I think with Stevie2112 amongst others. We won 2-1 in front of a crowd of just 1053. Could this be the smallest attendance ever for a Burnley game (pandemic gates excluded)

Wasn't the 96/97 away kit the yellow Adidas one in the Waddle season? I've just sold that very yellow shirt to someone on Vinted and said it was that season (unless I'm getting confused).
Waddle season was 97/98 with the yellow Adidas kit.

If we had played the season with Muric in goal, Cullen in midfield in place of Brownhill and had a striking option like Fofana and or Foster, we wouldn't be in the mess we find ourselves in. And the blame for that can only land at the door of VK.
